Genesect Raid Top 20 Counters

Image
Genesect Raid Top 20 Counters Image Credit: Niantic Things to know about Genesect  Unova Week is upon us, and with that brings a new Tier 5 Raid Boss: Genesect. Genesect is a Mythical, Bug-Steel type Pokemon. This Pokemon was originally released to Pokemon Go as part of a paid in-game special research event called "A Drive to Investigate." Trainers who are able to complete this special research would be given a Genesect encounter and receive it. Genesect is now available during this week to trainers who defeat this Mythical Pokemon in Tier 5 Raids. Doing this will require some help from other trainers; with assistance from remote raid passes, this can be completed easier.  Genesect Top 20 Counters and Weakness Genesect Pokemon Type: Bug-Steel Pokemon  Weakness: Fire-type Pokemon  Genesect Top 20 Counters:   1.  More news on Community Days  September and October Image Credit: Niantic You can choose between 4 Pokemon for Community Day Trainers it is almost time to vote on who you want to be featured for September and October Community day in Pokemon Go. We learned earlier this month from the Pokemon Go official site and Niantic that trainers will be able to vote on the next two commnunity days between: Caterpie, Porygon, Grimer, and Charmander. Out of the four Charmander is the only one to have been featured in a Community Day event back in May of 2018.  From August 22nd 6 p.m. PT - August 23rd 6 p.m. PT trainers will be able to vote for which of these Pokemon they would want to see featured in a Community Day event by responding to a poll on the Pokemon Go Official Twitter account . The Pokemon that receives the most votes in the poll will be featured in Septemeber's Community Day event on September 20th. The Pokemon with the second highest votes in the poll will be featured in October

Recap: Ultra Unlock Week 2 Enigma

Image
Recap: Ultra Unlock Week 2 Enigma Image Credit: The Pokemon Company, Niantic A quick recap on Enigma week  Enigma week came and went in Pokemon Go, there was some cool parts about it and some parts that could've been better. We had the new appearance of Elgyem to Pokemon Go, new shiny Pokemon featured of Staryu, Starmie, and Deoxys, uniquly Enigma-themed raids, and increased spawns of Pokemon that would be more frequent in the wild. Here is my take on Enigma week: Special Research First off, let me begin with saying how extremely disappointed I was when I realized that there was no special reseach tasks and objectives to complete during the week. I was so hoping that there would be tasks to give you special rewards maybe rare candies or Elgyem candies. I was also hoping to see special research encounters with Elgyem or a potential shiny Pokemon. Something? This week brought none of that. Dragon week was interesting because it had a special research and you could get rare candies,

I put on two Lures during Enigma week and this is what I caught...

Image
What I caught off two lures: experiment Image Credit: Niantic 2 Lures This past week during Enigma week, I went out to one of my usual Pokemon Go spots in the Atlanta area. This spot is a terrific spot because there is about six PokeStops all clustered together on the same street. I decided that I was going to park next to two PokeStops and put on two separate lures on each PokeStop. On one PokeStop I used a regular Lure and the other a Magnetic Lure. The image above shows my postiton and the two PokeStops.  My goal from doing this was to see which lure was more efficient and had the bigger imapact on catching Pokemon. I counted every Pokemon that appeared within the 30 minutes the lures were on for. For every Pokemon which ever Lure it was the closet to when it appeared that's the one I counted it for. There was no Pokemon that spawned in between both lures to make it a tie. For every Pokemon in this experiment I tried to catch every one while also using a regular Razz Berry on i
