How to defeat Team Rocket's Jessie and Jame (2020)

Team Rocket's Jesse and James have landed in Pokemon Go. Team Go Rocket has assigned Shadow Pokemon to project Jessie and James as they seek more Pokemon to turn shadow. You can battle them today by finding a Meowth shaped hot air ballon hovering across the Pokemon Go map above your avatar. Tapping this balloon with give you an encounter with both Jessie and James.

 

Jessie and James are known to have their own unique Pokemon that they fight with. When you fight Jessie you will start the battle facing a Shadow Ekans every time. When you fight James you will battle a Shadow Koffing. After the main two Pokemon: you will face either a Scyther, Sneasel, Bagon, or Beldum.

Jessie and Jame's difficulty is about the same as a Team GO Rocket grunt. They are not as powerful as a Team Go leader like Arlo, Cliff, or Sierra. If you throw very powerful Pokemon to face Jessie and Jame you are likely going to defeat them. Below are some tips to give you the best winning chance against Team Rocket's Jessie and James.

Jessie

  1. Ekans - weak to Psychic and Ground-type attacks. 
  2. Scyther- very weak to Rock-type attacks
  3. Bagon - weak to Fairy, Ice and Dragon-type attacks

James

  1. Koffing- weak to Psychic and Groud-type attacks
  2. Sneasel - very weak to Fighting-type attacks
  3. Beldum - weak to Dark, Fire, Ghost, and Ground-type attacks
